STEVENS POINT, WI – Eau Claire North won the Stevens Point Sectional on Tuesday picking up a win over Stevens Point and Eau Claire Memorial. This will be North’s second consecutive trip to Appleton.

Game 1: Eau Claire North 11 Stevens Point 1 (6 Inn)

In the opening game North jumped all over the hosts with the first four hitters of the game reaching and coming around to score. Jaelin Williams hit a three run homer as part of a six run sixth inning for North.

Tanner Halvorson picked up the win allowing just one run on two hits while striking out seven.

Game 2: Eau Claire Memorial 6 Chippewa Falls 0

Jack Brown was lights out for Memorial throwing a complete game one hit shutout over Chippewa Falls. Brown struck out five and walked just one in the outing.

Memorial had a four run fourth highlighted by a two run single from Keagan Calchera.

Game 3: Eau Claire North 3 Eau Claire Memorial 2

The Championship Game pitted local rivals against each other. Earlier this year the two teams split the season series with each team coming up with one run victories and Tuesday would be no different.

North leadoff hitter Zac Stange took the first offering from Memorial starter Zach Gustafson out to left field for a solo home run.

In the top of the forth Memorial evened the game at one as Adam Krajewski walked to leadoff the inning and came around to score on an RBI single from Adrian Bethel.

North had a runner on with two outs for four hole hitter Tanner Halvorson. Halvorson drove a pitch into left centerfield and over the wall for a two run homer to give North the lead for good.

Memorial made things interesting by loading the bases in the top of the sixth, but only came away with one run on a sacrifice fly from pinch hitter Kas Palzkill.
