Week 5 Diamond Notes

By: Josh Fields
Wisconsin Staff

Each week, WIAA coaches around the state submit to us their nominations for the PBR Wisconsin Player of the Week honors. On Wednesday, we awarded the second 'Players of the Week' awards of the year, representing Week 5, to RHP Edward Eveland (Lake Mills, 2023, Southeastern CC (IA) commit), who tossed a perfect game and tallied 11 strikeouts against Belleville, and he earned 'Pitcher of the Week' honors, as a result. INF/RHP Kaleb Zabielski (Burlington, 2023) earned 'Player of the Week' honors after going 10-for-12 on the week and scored six runs and seven stolen bases.

Inside of this Diamond Notes piece, we acknowledge the performances that fell short of that POTW honor, but are still deserving of some recognition here.
