Western Wisconsin Open: Statistical Analysis

The Western Wisconsin Open took place at Carson Park in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Monday, July 8th. The showcase provided the PBR Wisconsin staff with an opportunity to get a look at Wisconsin prospects in all high school classes. 

The event Quick Hits have already been released, which cover our initial impressions on some of the top performers. Below, the statistical analysis will break down the top numbers from each statistical category recorded at the event. 


Max Fastball 

Jackson Falkner featured the days best fastball, sitting 83-85 mph while topping at 86. Mason Dado and Blaine Guthrie weren’t far behind, topping out at 85 and 84 respectively.

60-Yard-Dash 

Matteo Bonnin and Kyler Reps were the lone prospects to run sub-7.00 marks in the 60. Bonnin impressed with a 6.87 while Reps fell just short of Bonnin, clocking in at 6.91.

Exit Velocity

Anthony Pogodzinski showed off his bat speed during the exit-velocity portion of the event, showcasing an event best 93 mph off the tee. Pogodzinski was also the sole participant in the 90s.

Infield Velocity

Jackson Falkner, Logan Brahm, and Preston Viens all threw 81  mph crosss the diamond. Gabriel Richardson and Tyler Penny were right behind them at exactly 80 mph.

Outfield Velocity 

Mason Dado led the way on outfield velocity with a throw that was 85 mph. Matteo Bonnin, Tru Dupee, and Ryan Traas were the only other prospects to touch 80 mph.

Pop Times

Blaine Guthrie recorded the best pop, a 2.10 time. Hunter Petska was right behind him with a 2.12.
