Wisconsin Class of 2014 Rankings Updated

By Steve Nielsen
Scouting Director – Wisconsin/Illinois

The Class of 2014 rankings are being updated across our coverage area and after several winter events our Wisconsin rankings have a few shake ups at the top as well as some new names added to the list.

The highest newcomer to the rankings is RHP Peyton Cypress (New Berlin Eisenhower) who stood out at the January Unsigned Senior Showcase touching 88 mph with a hard 77 mph curveball. Cypress has been receiving a ton of interest since then as he looks to be one of the top available arms in the area.

MIF Nick McLees (Marquette University) also impressed this winter with his strong arm across the diamond and excellent bat control.

After the Super 60 the top 10 featured a few changes. Connor Rolain (Appleton North), who impressed with his improved 60 time and arm strength moved up to the No. 5 spot as well as Scott Schreiber (Kimberly) who shined as a two way player, sneaking up to No. 2.

Here’s a look at the top 10.
