Wisconsin Class of 2019 Rankings Released

The spring season is in full swing and it’s that time of year again to release the next class of player rankings, the Class of 2019. This year’s crop of freshman already looks to be deep and this may be the deepest we’ve launched a class of freshman rankings with 25.

Our top 25 features a heavy mix of position players at the top as well as some familiar last names you may already recognize. Here’s a quick look into the top ten freshman in the state.

C Nathan Stevens (Waunakee) – Highly athletic left-handed hitting catcher already committed to Arkansas. Bat projects really well and possesses the best catching skills in the class.

OF Steve Jamroziak (Muskego) – 6-foot-2, 175-pound high ceiling outfielder with a big arm (88 mph). Loose bat and loose athlete with a big upside.

SS Xavier Watson (South Milwaukee) – Actiony middle infielder with soft hands, has been on our radar for a while now. Worked around some of the top infielders in the state at a young age and it shows. Younger brother to Cyrillo Watson (South Milwaukee, 2016, Illinois commit).

OF Eli Kramer (Hortonville) – Projectable frame and premium athlete with left-handed bat, true centerfield type speed. Making noise on varsity for Power 25 Hortonville.

SS Dan Blomgren (Janesville Craig) – True shortstop with athletic actions, ability to stick at the position at a high level. Soft hands and actions, younger brother to Nick Blomgren (Janesville Craig, 2015, High Point) and Jack Blomgren (Janesville Craig, 2017).

SS Bennett Frazer (Oconto) – Younger brother to Central Michigan commit Grant Frazer (2016) and possesses similar skill set, athletic defender who can stick in the middle, bat control type hitter. Already proving it on varsity as well.

RHP Mitchell Woelfle (Janesville Craig) – 6-foot, 180-pound strong armed right-handed pitcher, been up to 84 mph already.

LHP Andrew Biertzer (Kewaskum) – 6-foot-1, 160-pound left-handed up to 82 mph, hasn’t developed breaking ball yet and improving command, but shows the best raw arm strength from the left side in this class.

RHP Rich Byhre (Catholic Memorial) – Hulking right-handed pitcher, 6-foot-5, 225-pounds, huge presence on the mound with a fastball up to 85 mph. Secondary pitches still in the works.

OF Tanner Peterson (Wilmot) – Premium left-handed bat, younger brother to high level left-handed hitter Gunner Peterson (Wilmot, 2018). Bat will be his carrying tool.
