At the end of each calendar year, the Prep Baseball Wisconsin Staff highlights the 10 most viewed profiles of 2024 in the state of Wisconsin. Today, we’ll be continuing our way up to the top spot with No. 3 and unveiling the No. 1 most viewed profile Dec. 30.

Wrapping up our coverage of the most-viewed profiles of 2024 is C Maddux Lessard (Muskego, 2026).
Lessard was previously the top ranked 2027 in the Badger State before reclassifying up a class. As a freshman, Lessard fit right in on a talented Muskego squad that plays in one of the tougher conferences in the WIAA.
In his first season, Lessard hit .406 with 17 extra-base hits with 35 RBIs while being a staple in the Warriors middle-of-the-order, ultimately being named First Team All-State. Lessard went on to represent Team Wisconsin at the Future Games as a then underclassmen where he turned heads during the workout portion while taking quality at-bats and looking like an advanced defender behind the dish.

Positional Profile: C/SS
Body: 6-0, 185-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open setup, gets into legs in setup and throughout. Aggressive swing, high intent, looks to drive the ball to all fields, feel for the barrel with leverage out front, advanced power for his age. 68.5 mph bat speed with 11 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 83.4 mph. 326' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-79 mph. Plays with carry to the base, some intent, accurate.
Defense: 2.09-2.20 pop times. Works in-line, towards target, soft hands, soft blocker, has advanced feel for the position, understands game calling and has leadership presence for pitchers.
ATH: 7.10 runner in the 60. 28.50 max vertical.

Uncommitted. In his first season of prep baseball, Lessard took the varsity stage by storm and wound up being the best performing hitter on a loaded Muskego team. The catcher, who’s always solid defensively, hit .406 at the plate with an impressive 17 extra base hits and 35 RBIs. His production from the middle of the order allowed the Warriors to find success in 2024, as he was a staple and will be going forward. Lessard presents all sorts of confidence in his game, as the No. 1 ranked player in Wisconsin’s 2027 class emerged on top in one of the deepest groupings of prospects within our catcher category. He produced in the Classic 8 as well, which houses some of the top athletes in the state in arguably the deepest conference in Wisconsin. Lessard has a bright future ahead of him, as his freshman season only added to the momentum he’s gained throughout his early prep career—priming himself for a strong summer on the showcase and tournament circuit.

Body: 6-0, 187-pounds. Strong build, athletic, more strength and size coming.
Hit: RHH. Wider base, open set up, big leg kick, controls it on time. Uses ground exceptionally well, serious bat speed with fast hands, drives rockets to all fields with loose bat speed. 69.8 mph bat speed with 13 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 99 max exit velocity, averaged 93.4 mph. 363' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-82 mph. Medium arc, backspins it with carry through the bag, accurate.
Defense: 1.95-2.15 pop times. Gains ground to second base, clean transfer.
ATH: 7.25 runner in the 60. 27.30 max vertical.
The 6-foot, 187-pound catcher recorded the best pop time and catcher velocity of the event at 1.95 seconds and 82 mph, respectively. His body is quick behind the plate and the arm is accurate, showing clear athleticism. The freshman also ran a 7.25 60-yard dash, one of the best among all catchers. With the bat, Lessard looks to do damage with his loud right-handed bat, taking intentful hacks to the ball with a quick bat. During his round, Lessard produced some of the day’s top batted ball metrics, as he averaged 93.4 mph and his hardest hit ball came off of 99.4 mph. Lessard, the current No. 1 prospect in the state’s freshman class and No. 51 nationally, is certainly an advanced prospect and is someone our staff is excited to continue to follow throughout the entirety of his prep career.
