Class of 2016 Final Rankings Released

With the culmination of the high school season, the 2016 MLB Draft and the start of the Prep Baseball Report summer schedule of events, it is now time to shift our focus to updates to our statewide player rankings .

Over the next three days we will look at updates to the rankings in the Class of 2017, 2018 and 2019. Today we wet your appetites with a final look at the Class of 2016. 

Shortstop Paul Witt (Jefferson HS) completes his dominant high school career by finishing atop the Class of 2016 and is the Prep Baseball Report West Virginia Player of the Year. Witt, who will play his college baseball at Virginia Commonwealth, led the Cougars to a second AAA state title in as many years.

  • July 8 - Updated Class of 2018 rankings
  • July 9 - Initial Class of 2019 rankings
