Looking Back on the WV Top Prospect Games

By Greg Williams
WV Director of Scouting

Its been five months since the inaugural WV Top Prospect Games and we thought it might be time to take a look back and review what has taken place since that time and make some predictions about what lies on the horizon for some prospects in attendance.

Commitments

Eight prospects that participated have gone on to announce college commitments to date. All eight are current seniors and six hail from Pennsylvania. Liberty LHP/1B Ty Wickline is the lone West Virginia prospect to announce his college intentions. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound lefty will be continuing his baseball career at Waynesburg. The 2014 All-Harrison County selection worked three innings from a high 3/4 arm slot with some hip coil to his delivery. He yielded one run on four hits while striking out two batters and sat 74-76.
