Cross comes off a banner 2014 sophomore campaign for the Washington Patriots, hitting .395 with 27 RBI and 22 runs scored. The right-handed hitter also reached base 10 times via walks and was hit once for an impressive .461 on base percentage.

In limited action on the mound as a sophomore Cross went 2-0 with 1.85 ERA in 11.1 innings of work. Cross displayed excellent command striking out 11 against just three walks.
