Spring Update: West Virginia Class of 2019 Rankings

Greg Williams
West Virginia Director of Operations

With the start of their junior season on the horizon the West Virginia Class of 2019 rankings welcome the addition of 10 new players in this update. The current list now stands at 55 players with five players having already announced a college commitment. An update to the current PBR Class of 2019 overall rankings will follow in the near future.

The top of the list includes five committed players among the top six spots in the rankings. Four of the five will stay in state. West Virginia has received commitments from a pair of pitchers in Jake Carr (St. Albans) and Carter Lyles (Scott). Marshall also landed a pitcher in Spring Valley lefty Cody Sharp along with shortstop Grant Wells (George Washington) who will play football.

The lone committed prospect set to exit West Virginia is Hurricane lefty Jonathan Blackwell who has committed to Coastal Carolina.

This class will have five more rankings updates prior to the completion of their high school careers with the next update scheduled for June after the completion of the state tournament.
