Kelaen Welch has put up solid numbers over the past two years earning and honorable mention TRAC Conference selection following his junior season in 2013. The 5-foot-8, 165-pound outfielder from Brooke High School hit .333 last spring with eight doubles and a home run. His solid junior campaign followed up an impressive sophomore season in 2012 when he hit .346 and drove in 19 runs.  

The unsigned senior appears to be primed for a big 2014 season. He is a well-rounded student-athlete, acting as the vice president of the senior class at Brooke High School. Welch will showcase his abilities at the Western PA College Prospect Showcase on January 12.
