WV Daily Roundup: Games of April 1

Spring weather for two consecutive days allowed for the most complete schedule of games thus far in the 2014 season to be played on Tuesday. Following is a look at the scores of teams in the PBR Super 16 rankings that were in action yesterday.

+ Coaches, players and fans are asked to forward scores and highlights by email or via Twitter as soon as possible following the completion of all games to ensure that all scores get included on a daily basis.

#6 George Washington 1 at #2 Cabell Midland 7

+ Preseason Region IV Player of the year Seth Kinker went 6 innings striking out 10 while also going 3-for-4 with two RBI at the plate.

#3 Woodrow Wilson 1 at St. Albans 7

+ Bobby Grishaber, Josh Burks and and Hunter Chandler each had two hits for St. Albans. Pete Theodus pitched a complete game 5-hitter with four strikeouts.

#5 Wheeling Park 5 at Upper St. Clair (PA) 17

Parkersburg South 7 @ #7 Parkersburg 8

+ Parkersburg gets 8 total hits from 8 different hitters to rally from 7-6 deficit.

#8 Hampshire 6 @ Mercersburg Academy (PA) 4

+ Brandon Timbrook home run and Shane Ennis grand slam propels Hamshire to win.

#6 Sissonville 3 @ #1 Herbert Hoover 13

+ Tristan Fields went 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBI to fuel the Huskies offense.

Westside 1 @ #2 Independence 12

+ Brian Sexton hit a home run and drove in four runs for the Patriots.

Philip Barbour 3 @ #3 Bridgeport 23

+ Jim Doukas went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a grand slam and seven RBI in the win.

#4 Fairmont Senior 15 @ Elkins 7

+ Austin Norman went 2-for-4 with four RBI for the Polar Bears.

Wyoming East 11 @ #5 Liberty (Raleigh) 5

+ Jaquan Ayers led the Warriors with six RBI night including a bases clearing double.

#8 Chapmanville Regional 3 @ Man 1

Liberty (Harrison) 6 @ #1 Notre Dame 11

+ Josh Baker went 2-for-3 with a double and Chad Morrison went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI to support winning pitcher Jordan Miller.

#2 Parkersburg Catholic 11 @ Williamstown 13

River (OH) 6 @ #3 Magnolia 12

Beaver Local (OH) 3 @ #5 Weirton Madonna 8

Luca Fuscardo goes 3-for-3 with three doubles and two RBI.

Buffalo 4 @ #6 Charleston Catholic 5

+ Region IV Preseason Player of the Year Connor Golden picks up the win on the mound.

Greenbrier East 15 @ #8 Greenbrier West 10

Calhoun County 4 @ #7 South Harrison 14

+ Sophomore Josh West picked up the win in relief for the Hawks.
