5/13/19

Blake Taylor (2022, RHP/OF, Buckhorn) 5’11 170 lbs.- Did a nice job locating pitches down in the zone on the mound with a FB up to 80. Nice separation in the delivery and the breaking ball showed sharp bite in the upper 60’s. The slider had nice side to side action and was more of a power breaking ball. Nice actions in the OF and had some natural athleticism to the position. Was able to get himself in good position to throw quickly after the catch. The arm action works and showed carry out of the hand. At the plate he showed a middle of the field approach from a slightly open stance. Did a nice job of getting his front foot down on time and getting the barrel to the hitting zone with some lift in the swing. Was mid 80’s exit velocity off of a tee. An interesting ‘22 to follow.
