Cape Cod: Strong and mature-bodied at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, Swilling mixed five pitches for strikes in what ended up as his best outing of the summer. He showed an advanced feel to manipulate spin, throwing each of the pitches in any count for strikes. His fastball worked 89-91 and he also sank a few at 86-87. Additionally, he flashed a cutter at 86, a 77-78 slider and a 71-73 curve. An average 78-80 changeup was his best offspeed offering.
Big time arm that has a fastball that consistently sits in the upper 80's and will reach the low 90's. Has really shown improvement over the last year and has a high ceiling with quick arm action, that creates electric "stuff". His fastball shows late life and his breaking ball has tight action with depth. He is also an athletic OF that shows plus defensive actions with a plus arm and can has shown juice at the plate with a compact, powerful swing showcasing advanced bat speed.
