7/29/15 - 89-92. Touched 94. 11/5 curveball, sharp at times.

9-1-2018: Athletic, six-foot-one, 185 pound righty with a quick arm and a x-body landing. Had a tough start to his outing with seven consecutive armside misses with his fastball. Trouble getting his arm up and in sync with foot plant. Sets up on the far first base side of the rubber, trying to take advantage of the natural arm side life of his 89-93 mph fastball with a 2175-2275 rpm spin rate. Showed fair arm speed on an 83-84 mph changeup spinning at 1818 rpm. His curveball thrown at 75-77 mph with a spin rate around 2400 rpm showed a longer break and most were identified early by the hitters. 1.40 seconds from the stretch to home plate with a runner on first base. Out of the bullpen during his final regular season appearance this past spring, Daniel sat 94-96 mph, touching 97 with his fastball. Although the command must be sharpened, he showed a starter’s type of delivery and arm action with three pitches. (Seifert/Fitt)

3/28/18 - 6’1/190, Soph-eligible- Athletic righty with a quick arm and across-body landing. Had a tough start to his outing with seven consecutive armside misses with his fastball. Had trouble getting his arm up and in sync with foot plant. Sets up on the far first base side of the rubber, trying to take advantage of the natural arm side life of his 89-93 mph fastball with a 2175-2275 rpm spin rate. Showed fair arm speed on an 83-84 mph changeup spinning at 1818 rpm. His curveball thrown at 75-77 mph with a spin rate around 2400 rpm showed a longer break and most were identified early by the Kentucky hitters. 1.40 seconds from the stretch to home plate with a runner on first base. Although the command must be sharpened, he showed a starter’s type of delivery and arm action with three pitches. I don’t think I saw his best, but what I did see was a sixth to eighth round draft talent. As a sophomore-eligible his signability will largely determine where he is selected. (Seifert)
