David Sorg: 3B/RHP, (2023) Southside, AR. 6-foot-5, 205-pound mature solid frame. Projectable at the plate, Sorg's 95 mph exit velocity ranks him 1st at the event. Started in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth compact load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is quick, shows a short upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found lots of barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 75 mph; showed sure consistent hands, a clean fluid exchange, and smooth rhythmic feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. Used a quick arm action and a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the base. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.4.
