Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 5-10, 135-pounds. Medium frame, slim body, high waisted with long limbs, plenty of room to hold more weight.
Defense: Still developing feel & body awareness for position. Flat footwork with heavy strides, late first step. Firm hands.
Arm: Right-Handed. OF - 74 mph. Developing arm, throws with long arm action from 3/4 slot, slower release. Small crow hop step with little momentum.
Hit: RHH. Starts in a narrow upright base, using a small leg lift. Mixed in a toe tap at times. Loads deep with stiff elbows Releases barrel early. Accelerates barrel on plane with efficient path to the ball.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. Opposite field approach.
Run: 7.76 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Showed some potential on the mound, pitching from a tall delivery with low effort. Moves slow down the mound. Lands square with lateral trunk.
Arm Action: Right-Handed. Throws from OT slot with long loose arm actions, average arm speed. Arm drags at times with early rotation.
FB: T78, 73-76 mph. Downhill movement
CB: 63-66 mph. Two similar BB's, gyro spin.
SL: 64-67 mph.
5-foot-10 135-pounds, thin immature body, room to hold more weight. Two-way player. Starts from a tall upright base, narrow slightly open stance. Uses leg kick with forward movement, landing with some weight on the front leg. Hands starts low, loading deep into an arm bar at times. Pull approach with raw upward swing. 69mph exit velocity. Raw actions in the infield. Flips glove to field balls underneath body. Momentum going off to glove side on throws at 68mph. On the mound, throws from a H ¾ arm slot with slightly quick arm speed. Some effort to delivery, rotating off to 1B side & finishing upright. Straight FB sat 73-76mph. Some feel for CV that was thrown at slower arm speed at 61-66mph with 11/5 shape.
5/20/18 - 5-foot-5, 110-pound frame with high waist. Two-way prospect showed low-effort delivery on mound with a slower tempo, striding and landing open. Fastball sat 59-61 mph, touching 64 with nearly all misses high and to glove side. Also showed two developing secondary pitches a 55-56 mph curveball and 55-58 mph changeup. Offensively, starts with relaxed, balanced setup before a significant hand drop to load and open stride. Posted 69 mph exit velo with slight uphill path. Threw 62 mph from outfield, showing proper action at times, but also fielding ball in center of body with two hands at others.
