5-foot-11 155-pounds, lean body, athletically-built, balanced frame, some projectability. Left-handed hitter. Sets up in a narrow upright base with an open stance. Uses a leg lift to land square/ slightly closed at times. Short load of hands into barrel tilt. Average bat & hand speed with longer time to contact Middle/oppo approach with line drive contact, 85mph exit velocity off a tee. Hit some line drives in BP in the upper 80’s with a high of 92mph. Athletic actions in the OF. Light & quick on his feet. Soft hands with a consistent glove. Quick accurate arm at 80mph arm strength. Development should be followed.
Large athletic 5’11” 155lbs build, some fast twitch movements & projectability, one of the better athletes at the event. Turned in the top 60 yard dash time at 6.85. LHH with middle approach that hits from a narrow open base, landing square. Short inside swing with some separation, Watkins barreled up the ball consistently in his round of BP. His speed and athleticism should play in the OF. Low effort movements in OF at event with little momentum and follow through at 73mph.
5-foot-9, 135-pound frame. Lean profile with room to add strength. Very handsy left-handed hitter who is active in the box. Tends to stay on the backside; 77 mph exit velocity. Defensively, works from a taller set-up. Profiles as a corner OF. Arm action is long at times. Shows a 73 mph arm from the outfield. Ran 7.37 60-yard dash.
5-foot-9, 130-pound frame. Hit from a narrow stance with weight slightly preset onto backside. Lifts front foot and creates hip tilt during load. Looking to get extended. Posture leans back near contact, creates some loft; 77 mph exit velocity. Corner outfield defensive profile. Solid actions moving to balls and playing through them. High ¾ release and soft front leg on throws; 73 mph outfield velocity. Also ran a 7.33 60-yard dash.
5-foot-9, 130-pound frame. Offensively, hits from tall setup with high back elbow, slotting it as he strides forward to create a solid base and land in good position to hit. Gets barrel on plane and made some hard line drive contact to the pull side during his round of BP; 76 mph exit velocity. Posted 73 mph outfield velo, taking a number of steps before release and solid 7.26 60-yarddash. Also pitched, running his fastball up to 76 mph from high ¾ arm slot and slower tempo delivery. Nearly all misses were above the zone, except with 64-65 mph changeup held deep in hand. Also showed 59-62 mph curveball that popped up out of his hand.
