6’2 175-pound frame with room for strength. Works at a good pace. Stays over rubber a long time to let body work down the slope. As mobility increases, velo will jump from being able to work into a stiff front leg, instead of sliding into front side. Fastball works 75-77, touching 78. Flashes life and angle to the fastball when he gets extension. Sweeping breaking ball from a slightly lower slot than his fastball at 64 MPH. As strength continues to develop, pitches will continue to get better.
10/14/18 - Athletic, 5-foot-10, 160-pound frame. Stood out as outfield defender, posting 85 mph velo (second-highest at event) and showing confident actions. Ran 7.21 60-yard dash. Likely corner OF at next level where he should be a solid defender. As a hitter, works hard to get the barrel out. Upright setup with longer stride and varying lower half triggers (leg kick, toe tap, traditional stride). Big swing for size; looking to elevate. Top hand comes off very early at times. Approach and skillset don’t completely match. 78 mph exit velocity.
