11/10/19: Medium, full frame with rounded muscle build, Bruesser had a good day at the plate getting on base 5 times (2B, 1B, HBP, 2BB) showing a keen eye and patience. The R/L profile gives him some flexibility to play both 1B and the corner OF where his strong arm can make consistent throws; played RF in the game and showed off the arm strength during pre-game with the ability to get to the baseball quickly. Balanced stance keeping the hands away from his body and utilizing gradual load tightening the hands on foot lift; when the weight stays behind the baseball he was able to show strength to the pull gap with lift during BP that way as well; 2B and 1B to LF during the game. The quick hands produce a gap approach and will need to tap more into his power to make profile more attractive.

8/13/19: Showed quick hands and a gap-to-gap approach with limited in-game power at present in addition to some sizeable holes in his plate coverage. There’s solid feel for the strike zone here, but without more significant damage potential it might be tough for him to leverage that skill at the next level.
