Positional Profile: 2B/SS Solid defender with offensive upside.
Body: 5-8, 165-pounds. Strong build, proportionate strength.
Hit: RHH. Stands tall in his stance, base is just outside of shoulder width. Hands are held low in front of the chest with a vertical bat. Up and down stride, keeps him square to pitcher. Quiet actions in the box with some bat speed and whip out front. Has a little bit of tilt to the barrel, creates some fly ball contact. Best success would be less high air.
Power: 90.8 max exit velocity, averaged 83.8 mph. 339’ max distance. Has strength and bat speed, ability to drive balls to gaps, just too much high air at times. More top hand involvement will create more line drive contact.
Arm: RH. INF - 79 mph. Throws from a 3/4 slot. Consistent with footwork and timing to release. Showed the ability to throw from different arm slots. Arm accuracy was questionable on this day.
Defense: High feel and understanding for infield play. Reads hops well and moves his feet. Rhythm and timing is there and showed soft hands. Not much wasted movement prior to fielding.
Run: 7.50 runner in the 60. Powerful strides.
5-foot-6 150-pounds, small athletic body, lean build, still maturing. Plays the game with some energy. Switch hitter, showing some fluid swings. Mid/opp approach from left-handed side. Mid/pull approach from right-handed side. Starts from a slightly open spread out base from both sides. Slight front foot pickup landing square, small weight transfer. Short to the baseball with slightly downward swing plane. 77mph exit velocity. Raw action fielder with some hop in his step. Some quickness to hands. Upright thrower across the diamond, 77mph arm strength.
