Tibbe demonstrated high intent with a nice bat path and the ability to sync up his body and hands well. He has an excellent forward move but pops up and down as he steps, moving his eye level. He brings his backside through the ball well and shows good extension in his swing. He had the fastest bat speed among his class at 60.4 MPH via Blast Motion. Behind the plate, Tibbe has aggressive footwork and clean transfers. He topped out at a 2.22-2.40 POP time to second base with a 65 MPH positional velocity as a catcher to 2B. In the infield, Tibbe looked tentative on ground balls and straight-legged while fielding. Tibbe shows some potential as a decent catch-and-throw catcher with a bat that will continue to develop into a valuable tool as we advance, especially if there is a strong emphasis on his strength and movement as he grows.
