PBR Central Valley Preseason I.D. - Lean 6-foot-1 140-pound body type, long and angular with some wiry strength, shallow backside arm action, overhand slot, hides ball well, starts with low hand set, twist at top of lift, good direction down slope with slight cross body stride, stride foot opens to point directly at catcher at foot strike, displayed good body control, works quick and seems confident, could develop better finish by using lower body more, strength gains will help that, fastball (75-76 mph) fairly straight, curveball with 11/6 shape (62-63 mph) and solid feel of straight change-up (68-69 mph). Given status as a freshman he possesses some favorable velocity projectability as he physically matures.

Very high waist on a long, large frame with lean build; projectable size with plenty of space to add strength and muscle. Short stride with cross body arm action as a runner (8.21 60-yd dash). Slightly crouched stance with high hands and flared elbows as bat stays wide around head; hands work down and back with high front foot lift. Bat is level with flashes of quickness in a direct path; bat works better when he allows clearance in the front hip while peppering middle of the field (76 exit velo). Wide, low hips with late glove actions; good use of feet and able to show timing on throws especially when within range. Quick release from lower slot keeping the ball online to bags (70 mph).
