Bay Area World Series 2022 - Uncommitted; A top uncommitted player in the region, strong build on stout physical frame, very strong all around showing at BAWS 2022 with tools showing in showcase and usability of his ability in game play, also plays with what is clear enjoyment and passion for the game and competition, intangibles are at the high end and speak well to how long he can play the game, ran 7.15 60-yd, 76 mph top pop mph, pop times 1.96-2.08 with above average accuracy, blocks very well, has explosiveness and agility, competitive at-bats with lots of barrel contact (2-for-6), aggressive hitter with barrel feel, somewhat unconventional swing and approach but it works for him, hits off backside with aggressive attack angle, 95 mph max EV, 354' max estimated distance, 67% hard hit % (balls over 90 mph), 89% sweet spot %, 56% line drives, has shown bat speed up to 72 mph and that was sometime ago so it stands to reason he's above that now. Talented and clearly a hard working kid who feels like a sure bet to max out whatever his abilities are. Feels like he is a player who a college team can build around, both with ability and intangibles as a culture difference maker.
Body: At 5’11â€, 190 pounds, strength is in his lower half, upper body will fill out in time.
Hit: Medium to wide stance, bat laid back in a position to get in the zone early. Slight leg kick, barrel tips and hands move inside baseball. Elevates the baseball well, stays behind each one for power. Max effort swing.
Power: Pull side power, max velo at 92.29 mph
Arm: Pop time range of 2.02-2.09, accurate and stays on line all the way through throw.
Defense: Good relaxed set up, soft hands for receiving the ball. Uses lower half to stay balanced, quick feet, and good lateral movement on blocks. Transfer is efficient and stays on top of the ball when throwing.
Run: Ran a 7.33 (60 yard)
