Positional Profile: 3B
Physical: 6-0, 210-pounds; Full, broad shouldered build. 7.67 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with two handed finish. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 97 MPH via Trackman. 50/50 fly ball/line drive %, heavy sweet spot % of 75, plus hard hit rate of 62.5% (equals % of batted balls over 95 mph), has power and hit-ability to all fields, one of top uncommitted RHH in Northern CA.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands are underneath the body while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. 3B - 78 MPH. A little under the body to field, hands work, range is fair relative to natural footspeed, gets ball underway well, accurate.
Body: 6-0, 210-pounds. Large and sturdy build. Some present strength but can hold more and gain athleticism.
Hit: RHH. Is upright with slightly open feet in stance. Rhythmic load and swing. Slight bat waggle as barrel gets into a slight tip toward pitcher. Mild leg lift trigger. Created good tilt with shoulders to let barrel work on a more uphill path (64.3% flyball rate). High and extended through finish. Used the whole field throughout the round. Aggressive through the ball. Above average bat speed at 72 mph average and 76 mph max. Barreled balls all weekend during game action. 4 hits that were all barrel up LDs (2 to left and 2 to right).
Power: 96 max exit velocity
Arm: RH. INF - 79 mph. Loose quick arm. Average arm strength for level. 5/5 accurate throws during defensive workout. Glove tap before getting into throwing motion.
Defense: Smooth actions. Lighter feet for his size. Decent glove skills. Not much bend in the lower half when fielding. Funnels into the body. Good lateral movement.
Run: 7.65 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Relaxed and repeatable. Mostly arm. Controlled lift that works down and in line with home. The backside comes through at release. Bent landing leg at finish.
Arm Action: RH. Loose whippy arm. 3/4 slot. Pulls into the scalp and gets into a higher elbow that gets inverted. Decent armspeed. 3 shutout innings and 3Ks in game action.
FB: T79, 75-78 mph. Threw it to all quadrants. Didn't miss by much when missed.
CB: 60-64 mph. Only spun 3. Showed nice location low and away to RHHs.
CH: 69-71 mph. Real low spin change at around 1000 rpm. Big drop in VB gives it late diving life. Same armspeed as FB.
Positional Profile: 3B/1B
Body: 6-0, 210-pounds. Big frame, full body, can hold future strength.
Hit: RHH. Off plate deep in box, slightly open, taller set up with very slight crouch, vertical bat in lower hand set up, early quiet knee lift he controls well, creates barrel angle/tilt with tension created. Physical swing, trigger works, has present power and plenty more in the future, aggressive through the ball, high top hand finish through contact with some upward swing plane to lift the baseball.
Power: 99 max exit velocity
Arm: RH. 3B - 77 mph. High-3/4 slot, loose arm, quick stroke, accurate with some carry and ability to get it underway with some air under the ball.
Defense: Played low, some funnel into body to get to throwing stroke, fairly light feet, showed ability to field left and right, doesn't 'look' as athletic as he showed himself to be.
Run: 7.61 runner in the 60.
Positional Profile: RHP
Delivery: In-line stride, full finish with backside getting through, easy balanced lift, timing of separation and stride is on time, drops head down and eyes off line through finish.
Arm Action: RH. Loose arm, some depth on backside, some higher inversion of elbow, overhand slot.
FB: T79, 76-78 mph. Can create some down angle, flashes above average horizontal movement, lower spin rates suggest development of sinker type and pitching down in the zone suits his raw stuff.
CB: mph.
SL: 59-62 mph. Smooth sweeping break with small-ish tilt, showed feel for the zone and feel for the pitch, though mostly stayed on the arm side.
CH: 65-69 mph. Big reduction of spin off the FB allowing for bottoming out in the zone, has feel for the pitch and the zone, has armside action as well, strong complement to the FB.
