Cape Cod: After 22 round-trippers this spring, Stanford slugger Carter Graham (2023) had a difficult time getting to his top tool this summer; plus raw power. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound, physical-bodied first-baseman batted just .200 with two home runs. However, he did complete the season on a high note with a 7-for-23, two home run finish at the plate.
Graham, a Stanford recruit. Stands an impressive, 6-foot-2, 200-pounds with thick strength throughout his frame, and he gets to that strength at the plate. Starting slightly open in a balanced stance, he rocks his weight back with a short stride to square off as the hands push back before quickly working directly to the ball with more angled shoulders working uphill. He has the ability to drive the ball to all fields with authority, and looks the part of a future power-hitting corner infielder.
