BAWS 2019 - Medium, long frame showing good proportions with some athletic lean muscle (7.58 60yd). Tall wide stance with very high hands having bat on back. Hands pull down and back with controlled front foot lift; allows him to slot his back elbow and start the hips. Bat works gradually uphill creating loft and carry to the pullside gap (82 EV). Picked up a couple hits during the games staying to the pull side with hard contact. Works to get around the baseball with controlled actions to work under the baseball; some lateral range. Compact, high release with fluid arm swing showing different angles on release (76 MPH). Showed good baseball instincts during the games with the ability to back up and put himself in the proper position to make plays.
2/19/19 - Game v Rancho Cotate - Uncommitted as of this report. Lean thin frame, started at shortstop, solid hands, made routine plays, arm translates best on other side of the bag, threw accurate balls easy to handle for 1st baseman, lead-off hitter, strength gains will likely increase the raw bat speed, somewhat conservative approach early in the game but turned it around later and was more aggressive, slashed a double to oppo gap that drove in a couple of runs, tends to have a swing dominated by upper body, will need to get stronger to advance as a hitter.
