Positional Profile: LHP
Physical: 6-3, 205-pounds; Long, broad shouldered build.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while showing no restrictions; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 83 MPH, while sitting 81-82 MPH; arm side run. SL: 63-64 MPH; 2-tier break. CH: 73-76 MPH; runs. Easy arm, FB can run away from RHH, big SL with big break with fairly late action, potential back foot pitch to RHH.
Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 6-foot-2, 170-pounds. Lean and lanky, sinewy/trim body type.
Delivery: Small rocker step, high knee lift, angles foot upward on lift, high hand movement w/coordination of hands/feet, down and out down slope, long stride, firm and stable at foot strike.
Arm Action: LH. Long full circle on backside, quick and loose arm, high-3/4 slot
FB: T82, 80-81 mph. Can play well up in the zone along with slippery run.
CB: 62-66 mph. Big tumbling slow hook, big change of pace.
CH: 73-74 mph. Late dip on occasion, can get swing-throughs, slight run.
Defense: Methodical approach to ball, patterns feet to ball and after catching it takes a fair amount of time to get rid of it.
Arm: LH. OF - 82 mph. Easy arm action, calm arm stroke, 3/4 slot, tailing throws took accuracy away to his arm side, arm strength still has gains to make as he gets stronger.
Hit: LHH. Tall setup, slight pinch of knees, balanced, high elbow setup, slight negative stride leg load, drifts forward and drops hands into a low slot. Works to catch ball well in front of plate on the pull side with considerable attack angle. Reminiscent of Adam LaRoche type stroke/approach. There were hints of power potential though only to pull-side.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity in cage front toss session.
