Body: Well proportioned big strong body, 6’4” and 215 pounds. Still learning to move his big body around the field.
Hit: LHH, wide stance, with a bit of a rock back/leg lift to start swing. Hands waggle behind, use the top hand well for strength. Looks to elevate the ball, and drive to pull side.
Power: Max exit velo of 97 mph.
Arm: Accurate arm from first, and uses different arm angles to get throws across the field. Velo across the field is 77 mph.
Defense: Moves well to ground balls, savvy around the bag. Makes palsy glove side and back hand. Feet moves laterally to the ball, follows through on all throws.
Run: Ran a 7.79 (60 yard)
6/12/18
6/12/18 - Uncommitted. Lean body type on 5-foot-8 135-pound frame. Fair physical projectability. Overhand slot, calm and patient delivery with good body control throughout. Stable lower half and maintains good direction to the plate. As he gains lower body strength his extension can improve and thus, the life on his stuff. Displayed usability and feel of three pitches in a basic fastball/curveball/change-up repertoire. Fastball 66-67 mph mostly straight with a hint of late fade, depending on how good the release point was. Curveball slow with two plane slurve type break. Consistent action on that pitch. Looked to have feel of getting it to the bottom of the zone and to the edges of the plate. Change-up with little late fade, good feel, came out of his hand well. Chance to be quality strike thrower with ability compete based on his command on a given day.
