Event: NorCal Underclass Game Body: 5-10, 170-pounds. Average size body with some broadness to frame and strength in legs. Delivery: From stretch, swings leg into mid-section high lift over rubber, opens front knee as moves out to slightly open stride w/foot in-line to catcher, has lower body stability, strong use of legs, lands drives back hip through, in fielding position after release. Arm Action: Some slight stabbing mid-thigh depth on backside; compact backside getting to overhand release, ball comes out with some deception as arm stays behind body until just before release. FB: T81.5 mph, 77-80 mph velo range, 2211 max spin; Strike-throwing ability on glove side, will go inside to RHH to set up FB away and CB/SL, some life out of hand and through zone, seems to trust the FB. CB: 68-70 mph, 2380 max spin; Spin is a positive as was feel for being around zone and starting bats, somewhat early break due modest extension to release, there are the makings of a quality HS breaking ball here. SL: 70-73, 2368 max spin; Just a bit more firm than the CB and slightly less horizontal movement, spin is similar to CB, velocity difference between the two pitches isn’t so great to suggest utilizing a CB and a SL is much different in eyes of a hitter.
