USA CNT: Athletic, 6-foot-5, 210 pounds. Repeated a short, simple, upright delivery to a high three-quarter release point. Worked fairly easy with a low-90s fastball and good direction. Strike-thrower, filled the zone with good life on his fastball. Good carry to the corners, can bore it into right handed batters or ride it up in the zone. Primary off speed pitch was a low-80s breaker that he consistently threw into the zone. Can pick and expand to his gloveside. Also mixed a solid changeup in the mid-80s. Quick off the mound, easy mover, fielded his position well. Has a different shape to his fastball, but a similar slider and his size and strike-throwing ability remind me of former Gaucho, Michael McGreevy, who was a St. Louis Cardinal first-rounder in 2021. Ager finished the CNT season with a 3.52 ERA in 7.2 innings, allowing six hits and one walk with four strikeouts.

vs Cal HS - UC Santa Barbara commit; Long lanky build, plenty of room to fill out the frame as he physically matures and adds muscle. Fluid delivery, high-3/4 slot, loose easy arm, in-line stride, extension appeared to be something that can improve. Raw stuff shows up well on the gun (FB 87-91) though swing and misses vs the FB weren't as frequent as the raw stuff might suggest. Slight tail on the FB though mostly straight. Confident usage of 68-72 mph CB w/occasional late break into the zone, changed the shape and speeds w/the CB with ability to slow bats with it and put it in hittters' minds. Minimal usage of low-80s mph CHG with fading action. Final line 5 IP, 5 H, 6 K, 5 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 2 HBP). Body, arm action, present day raw stuff, all suggests a bright future in store as he develops at the college level.

7/27/18

NCTB underclass tourney - Sat 80-81 with a dart fastball. Touched 83. 11-5 CB ranging from 66-68. Works the bottom of the zone very well. Pitches to contact.
