Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame that is athletic and loose. Chong is a flexible and athletic catcher that moves well behind the dish given his size. He's very quiet when in his crouch and receives the ball out front. Shows the ability to drop and pop when blocking and comes up in throwing position. Best pop time on the day way 2.06 on an in-game stolen base attempt. Arm can get a little long on his throws. Frames very well; doesn't give calls away to the umpire. At the plate he shows a quiet approach that is balanced. Loads on back leg and explodes through the ball with a level bat path through the hitting zone.
