1/27/19 - PBR N CA Preseason All-State - Wiry thin body but there is life in that 5-foot-11 165-pounds, quick loose arm, high energy quirky delivery with distractions to a hitter's eyes, good athleticism in delivery with body control, has clearly worked hard to own his delivery, high knee tuck tight to body, quick out of glove, deep backside arm action not all that easy to pick up, high-3/4 slot, slight cross-body stride, good front side stability and extension, balance throughout, fastball (T84) is quick now and with strength there is more coming, good fastball run was consistent, threw both curveball (63-64 mph) and slider (72-73 mph) with tight spin on both, displayed a bit more feel of the curveball which was also a bit tighter than the slider, slider could use a little more finish, change-up (73-75 mph) with occasional cutting action. All pitches were quality and there was just a feel about him that he can get plenty of hitters out. Interesting senior for 4-year programs still looking for a left-hander.
6/1/18-6/3/18 - BAWS 2018 - Lean wiry body, loose actions, body works well on the mound. Hands start at head and utilizes full back/hip turn on hitter before coming out at mid-3/4 with whippy arm action. Ability to control knee throughout delivery and stay on target with both pitches; often utilized quick pitch to throw off hitter timing. Fastabll 79-84 with cut to glove side; pitch jumped through the zone leaving hitters swinging through the pitch or getting weak fly balls. Curveball 61-64 with small 2/6 angle; times where feel was limited and pitch had little snap but was very tough on left-hand hitters. Slider 70-71 with more sweep off plate from curveball actions. Good pitcher with a chance to create different looks and angles and can be a great complement to a quality college pitching staff. Pitches with good tempo and feel of the craft.
