Positional Profile: LHP/1B
Body: 6-1/220lbs. Larger frame. Physical build. Present strength.
Defense: Moved well in the OF. Aggressive charging in with clean movements through the ball. Solid fundamentally at 2st. Got himself in good positions to field the ball with soft hands.
Arm: LH. 81 mph. From the OF it was an easy effort longer AA where he put â…˜ accurate 1-hop throws to the bag. Shorter action at 1st. Slower to release. Takes a look along with a glove-tap before release at both spots.
Hit: LHH. Relaxed stance with lower set hands. Simple forward stride with a small takeback of hands. Shorter swing with a flat path. More GBs than LDs/FBs during BP round. Avg. bat speed. Stayed through the middle of the field throughout the round.
Delivery: Exclusive from the stretch. Slow/controlled delivery down the mound. Level shoulders. Still head. Belt high knee tuck that lands in-line with home. Quality drive-leg sit with a soft lead-leg block.
Arm Action: Hand lead path out the glove. Smaller scap load. Loose/continuous action to a normal ¾ slot. Avg arm speed. Quality layback. Consistent slot. Slows down arm slightly on secondaries.
FB: 77-80. Straight action. At times flashed some carry (19.3 inch VB max). Spotty command.
CB: 66-67. Slow/short breaker (AVG 2 inch VB, 4 inch HB). Quality feel in-zone (63% in zone rate).
CH: 72-75. Straight change. Similiar shape to FB. Relies heavily on speed differential.
Body: 5-11, 175-pounds. Medium build with a sturdy base and proportional limbs.
Hit: LHH. Neutral stance, some hand movement even with the head before the bat slots in. Leg kick triggers the load. Hands work upward through the ball creating some loft. Barrel can lag at times when hands are late getting loaded.
Power: 84.00 max exit velocity
Arm: LH. INF - 68.00 mph. OF - 73.00 mph. Short arm action at 1B that stays tight to his body. Quality transfer/throw skills.
Defense: Showed the ability to move laterally to both sides. Fielded balls well during a challenging round in the defensive workout.
Run: 8.75 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Simple delivery with medium tempo from the windup. Works up down and out as he moves down the mound. Ends up in a good position. Can get quad-dominant at times.
Arm Action: LH. Short arm path that is quick out of the glove. Late at times contributing to high arm and arm side misses. Little waisted movement.
FB: T76, 73-76 mph. Above average Induced Vertical Break on the fastball. Could potentially garner flyballs and whiffs when effectively utilized up in the zone.
CB: 59-62 mph. Slow, sweeping breaking ball dominated by horizontal movement. Averaged nearly 8 inches on this pitch during the session.
CH: 66-69 mph. Quality velocity difference with minimal movement separation when compared to the fastball.
