at Foothill HS - Uncommitted; Big body, full frame, hits in 5-spot for competitive HS team with some D1 talent on the roster. Stepping to plate the assumption is that he's in that spot to drive in runs and do some damage, which is what he's shown in two viewings the last week (1B, E5, L1, 1B, 1B, K). Faced a 87-91 2020 D1 arm in this one, going 2-3 (1B, 1B, K), recognizing offspeed (CB) early and pouncing on them from a 2 RBI single and rally contributing single (both to the left side), chased FB up in the strikeout, later flipped a pitch into shallow RF for two more RBI. He takes his hacks, produces powerful stroke with pretty short stroke, ready to hit FB on first pitch, with a ringing line drive to RF backing that up. Given a couple of years to continue to develop and shape the body a bit better there looks to be slugging ability w/talent to contribute in a college line-up.

Bay Area World Series 2020 (BAWS) - Uncommitted; Big body that can be shaped into a physical presence at the plate. Takes aggressive swings intent on doing damage. Made consistently hard contact to all fields to give a glimpse of the impact power he can develop. Defensively the profile fits best at 1st base, range/arm.
7/24/19
NCA Top Prospect ID - Medium, long frame with width in the shoulders and high waist (8.06 60-yd). Wide, balanced stance keeping hands high with high back elbow; knee tuck with hands lifting up allowing him to stay behind the ball. Full barrel turn allows him to work up through the zone in U-shaped swing having two-handed full finish; strength in frame comes out as he was able to backspin the ball into gaps sticking to the pullside (90 EV). Wide, low base with high hips and glove funneling to throwing arm. Arm has some length with ability to shuffle and keep throws online (80 MPH).
5/27/19
NCA UCID - Medium, long frame with width in the shoulders and high waist. High knees runner moves fair underway (7.76 60yd). Wide, balanced stance with crouch and good posture keeping high hands and high back elbow. Knee tucks as hands lift up with slight movement back. Short turn as barrel works upwards through the zone creating easy lift; pullside gap power driving with flashes of carry (87 EV). Tall and wide in infield with glove out in front; fair range with ability to replace feet. Quick circle with high release able to make the throws from range covered (76 MPH).
