5/31/19

BAWS 2019 - Medium frame, lean with some upper-half strength and width in shoulders; 7.39 60yd. Slightly opened stance with even hands and flared elbows; quick hand pump with foot lift staying in his back leg with some balance. Level bat with quickness staying compact through the zone; worked the middle of the field and pullside with line drives (83 EV). Stayed to the middle of the field picking up a couple singles during the games. Opened wider stance receiving, showing clean transfer keeping the ball on the bag (2.09-2.19 Pop, 73 MPH). Receiving was solid during games with some flashes of blocking skills; was regularly on the bag between innings just missing a couple runners in the game.

8/25/18 - 5-foot-10, 155-pounds, lean athletic body type, good build and athleticism for the catcher position, would also fit well at 2nd base. Plays the catcher position athletically with life in his actions, with an arm that is quick and gaining strength as we’ve seen him a few times this summer. Pop times indicate his foot quickness and timing of upper and lower half, as well as a clean and quick exchange. Did things behind plate cleanly. During batting practice showed good balance and a line drive swing plane, with a gap to gap approach. Reached twice in two game at-bats, with a walk and solid single to right field. BP approach transferred to game hitting approach. With size and strength he certainly has a shot to gain on peers who are presently bigger and stronger. Good baseball player.

6/1/18-6/3/18 @ BAWS 2018 - Lean and somewhat compact body type at 5-foot-10 150-pounds, built athletically with agility for the position. Slightly open stance with turn of barrel during load; line drive swing with compact opposite approach. Longer arm action showing average strength on throws to 2nd base (2.15-2.18 Pop); average glove hand with times of excellent blocking ability. If can shorten up the backside arm action there is a chance to get throws down near 2.0 or below. Average runner showing more athleticism for position; 4.58 H-1st. Possible utility type player as well. Good catching prospect.

10/28/17 - Compactly built 5-foot-10 155-pound catcher with good energy at the position and tools that should just keep on coming as he evolves and develops, good catch/throw skills, good arm, runs well, athletic young player who likes to play the game.
