1/27/19 - PBR N CA Preseason All-State - Medium frame that is solid muscle with wide, sloping shoulders and tight waist; strong, physical kid who has explosive qualities with easy, loose hips (7.05 60-yd). Balanced stance with knees tight and high back elbow while hands stay wide from back shoulder; front knee tucks in quickly as bat wiggles towards pitcher. Loose wrists with the ability to whip the barrel into the zone showing quick bat speed with flashes of more when working in sequence; bat works on level plane with short, quick arc through the zone. Regularly barreled balls going gap-to-gap with line drives and hard contact into the gaps; flashes of pop when he stays behind the baseball (90 exit velo). Quick feet in the Outfield showing strong body control when coming to attack the ball; arm is very quick with easy life from compact actions and using full body to get into throws. Plus arm that can put the ball where he wants it with more velo from OF once Spring warms up (89 MPH). One of the toolsiest players left uncommitted from the 2019 class with chance to impact a club at next level.
10/27-10/29/18 - NCTB Fall Classic - 6-foot-0, 200-pounds, muscles packed on tightly in both lower/upper half; built like a RB with strong chest, legs and backside all showing present strength. Impressed from start during testing day showing off combination of speed, power and a plus arm. Wide balanced stance with even hands and high back elbow showing wiggle in bat. High front leg lift with balanced load into back hip; limited hand movement before very quick bat speed (90 exit velo) from level swing that finishes high over the shoulder and swinging against a stiff front leg. Full speed with first few steps and shows ability to get down the line at above average level (7.11 60yd dash, 4.5 H-1st). Showed speed in game beating out an infield single and in OF tracking down balls. Showed plus arm from RF hitting 92 on throws during testing and throwing a laser to catch a runner at 3rd base in game. Physical athlete that showed off toolsy attributes all weekend.
