1/13/19 - Central Valley Preseason I.D. - Large 6-foot-2 200-pound body on big frame with higher waist and showing budding physical strength throughout. Long legs have the ability to get moving once underway with average stride length (8.03 60 yd dash). Tall, slightly open stance with high hands and a high back elbow; controlled short leg lift with quiet hands having short movement back before short, direct path to the baseball. Showed ability to drive the ball to pull side (89 exit velo) with flashes of more leverage creating pop. Defensively feeds ball well from glove hand to throwing hand with a high release and compact arm (71 mph); footwork flashes average when working in time and can put the ball on the bag (2.05-2.19 pop). On mound overhand slot, loose arm, controlled backside arm action, good direction down slope, strong delivery, stride leg has good stability and can create some leverage, gets to decent extension with good deceleration, has some power in the body, fastball 77-81 mph fairly straight but aggressive to the zone, curveball 12/6 shape with occasional biting action (61-64 mph) but mostly a tumbling roll, change-up 69-74 mph with solid feel to indicate it's a usable pitch.
