South Bay Winter Hitting Update:
Even hand, high back elbow, balanced stance showing good backside drive and easy direct hand path. Able to keep a compact, level barrel staying through the middle of the field and create hard linedrive contact. Has physically grown and improved overall body structure; really liked his improvements to the bat path and ability to be a high-contact type of hitter.
BAWS 2019 - Medium full frame with some rolled muscle in upper half (7.91 60yd). Tall stance, high hands with flared elbows starting weight over back foot; slow gather with hands tightening to body using slight foot lift staying balanced behind the baseball. Bat has longer turn with times where he’s around the baseball; best swing allows him to keep hands tighter making more compact swing and staying inside baseball. Worked the pullside of the field with line drives during BP (82 EV) picking up a single that way during the games. Showed low hips and glove that works ground up with wider feet playing back on the dirt; some range going to his glove side. Compact arm with lower angled slot having quick release fitting best on right side of the diamond (73 MPH).
