7/11/21

Body: Big strong body, 6 foot and 195 pounds.

Hit: Wide base for balance, keeps hands in a good position to hit.  Stays inside ball, quick hands.  Tight turns, uses lower half well in his swing

Power: Max exit velo of 96.91, pull side power

Arm: Quick short arm action, quick release, 75 mph across the infield

Defense: Good lateral movement with feet, anchors lower half for stability.  Works through the ball, good transition from bottom to middle of body.

Run: Ran 7.94, 60 yard dash

Delivery: Slow methodical wind up, keeps hands lower for deception. Works down hill with lower half balance, finishes across his body and falls towards 1st base dugout.  Short arm action, over the top

FB: Max velo of 81 mph, gets some arm side run, with that late body opening up

CB: Loopy curveball that stays on the outer half of the plate.  Consistent tilt

CH:  Good velo difference at 70-72 mph

8/15/20

Delivery: Inconsistent delivery resulted in erratic command, high hands keep him tight, solid back leg balance.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm swing, high 3/4 arm slot, more arm speed in there.
FB: T80, 78-80 mph. Fastball induced vertical break 15.4 (64th percentile) and horizontal break 8.0 (50th percentile) show slight ride and average run, 1:00 tilt.
CB: 67-69 mph. Curveball is best off-speed offering, consistent tilt at 7:45, erratic command, at times showed some swing and miss ability.
KN: 72 mph.

Defense: Defended well in competitive simulation, limited range, solid fundamentals within his fielding zone.
Arm: RH.  INF - 74 mph.  Compact arm, short arm swing and natural quick release helps him get rid of the ball quickly, arm works at 3B/2B.
Hit: RHH. Upright and relaxed, strength in wrists, leg lift to stride, shows some torque. Above-average Blast Motion bat speed of 70.8 mph is his best metric, swing path gets on plane quickly and shows ability to handle pitches away and in, 90 mph exit velocity trending in the right direction for 2023 class player.
Power: 90 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 8.27 runner in the 60.

2/01/20

PBR Far North Preseason ID

Body: 6-foot-0, 190-pounds. Stout, burly body type
Hit: RHH. Tall relaxed set-up, slight knee lift to longish stride, handsy stroke w/physical top hand finish, raw strength shows up, can drive ball to oppo field, over time the power potential is real
Power: 88 mph EV off tee
Arm: RH - 75 3B - Compact arm action plays well at 3rd base
Defense: Showed soft hands, range limited by raw foot speed but will make plays w/in that range, looks like he enjoys playing defense and will bring dependability to the position
Run: 7.94 60-yard

Delivery: RHP - On-line stride, rolls outside his plant foot losing momentum to 1B line, controlled down the slope, decent rhythm, drifts a bit away from the rubber before engaging post leg/knee, maintains good head/upper body stability, keeps hands high which limits ability to create rhythm
Arm Action: Short backside like that of a C/3B getting to high 3/4 slot, has enough arm speed/strength to develop quality stuff
FB: 76-78 - Flashed ability to create down angle, came out of hand easy, velocity jump will come
CB: 67-68 - Small break and often backed up on him as fingers weren't getting to front of ball
CHG: 70-72 - Late run/dive, impressive feel/action particularly given his status as a freshman
