2/12/19 - Six-foot-1, 165-pounds, squared shoulders, wiry strength throughout the frame with strong wrists/forearms. Started at shortstop while batting second. Immediately made himself known as he took the third pitch he saw and drove it into left-center field for a stand up double in the first inning.  Shows excellent instincts on defense where his first step allows him to get to balls deep in the hole or well behind the bag as he did in the second inning before he came up throwing a strike to first to nail the runner. There’s plenty of arm strength to play on the left side, however he might profile best at second base or in right field where his arm will play up. At the plate he showed excellent plate coverage and discipline not chasing pitches out of the zone. Also showed a knack for fighting off pitches. There’s plenty of room for added strength on his long, lean frame.
