V Mitty - San Jose State Commit. Long, lean and athletic medium frame showing twitchy actions and high waist; strength in frame with more room to continue to add on. Starts with hands at his waist staying there with side step on rubber. Hands lift up to chin with high front knee as back has slight turn; fluid delivery with good tempo and timing. Arm is compact and clean out of glove, hiding behind back as front arm stays high creating some deception. Good drive from back leg as front leg creates good extension down the hill being able to throw over locked front hip showing a bit of crossfire action. Athletic delivery with finish over stiff front leg. Arm is loose and quick with limited effort. FB 85-87 MPH with heavy arm side run and sink able to be used on both sides of the plate and being able to bring back over the plate from the glove side. Pitch ran under bat path and when missed action kept off barrels allowing for weak contact. CHG 75-82 MPH with sink to the arm side and feel for the pitch being able to throw it multiple times in sequence. SLD 72-75 MPH flashed above average with tight spin showing tilt and late dive under bats late at the plate. Worked with great tempo attacking hitters with a fastball that would jump on hitters, mainly using it to his arm side. FB held velocity during complete game giving up 1 run early and stranding runners while getting lots of ground balls.
