UC Berkeley commit; Standing in at 6-foot-0 and 175-pounds, uses his lean body to make pitches, competing on each pitch with control bordering on command in this look. With a 3-pitch mix and FB reaching 89, there appears to be more in the tanks as he fills out and gains strength.

Delivery: Standing on the left side of the mound, hands out front and stand tall with good posture. First move is quick, anchor foot turns and is stable for good balance and able to get his hips underneath him. With good balance, lift leg up in a controlled manner is able to keep stride foot in line to the plate. His hands stay in the same position for consistent hand separation. Once you see the front foot land, that arm action is plus.

FB: Reaching up to 89, the quick arm action sneaks up on hitters and makes it seem more velo than what shows up on the gun.

CB: With impressive depth and action, the break is sharp and deceptive. He was able to throw it for a strike in any count.

CH: With a 11-13 mph difference from his fastball, the change was used very effectively. Late side and downward movement, this is a good pitch versus left or right-handed hitters.

Summary: It was fun to watch him command the zone early and often, challenging hitters on every pitch. Showed a mature awareness of pitching and that will only get better with time. Velocity will increase as he gets stronger, while command will be a plus for him throughout the years.

vs Marin Catholic - Uncommitted; Lean body type with some lower body development, athletic look. Threw an outstanding game, 6 IP, 3 H, 3 K, BB. 3/4 slot, clean compact on backside, slightly opens front hip with in-line stride, lands with balance and finish. Deftly mixed three pitches (FB/CB/CHG) with particularly impressive usage of FB/CHG. Fastball with run and occasional sink, touched 88-89 (once each), sat 85-87 (touched 86 in 5th), did lose a little in 6th inning but understandable given the early season long outing. Confident in change-up (75-77), threw it in just about any count, not always with outstanding location but sold it and got many outs on the ground and soft pops up off that pitch, back to backed it a few times, some dart and dive. CB is his third pitch, 71-76 mph, break varies from traditional 11/5 to more slurvish 11/4, smooth break though flashed some late break in zone to lock up a hitter or two. Strong mound presence, fielded position quite well, paid attention to running game though there was very little traffic. None of the three hits was hit off the barrel.

Positional Profile: RHP - One of more intriguing uncommitted 2022 RHP in Northern CA.
Body: 6-0, 170-pounds. Strong well-proportioned build, lower body is well developed.
Delivery: Powerful, gathers energy over rubber, drives home with strength and body control, high knee lift and tuck, stays compact prior to stride, well-schooled delivery.
Arm Action: RH. Loose quick arm, consistently controls arm swing, compact backside with modest depth, gets to 3/4 slot.
FB: T87, 85-86 mph. Above average spin and arm side movement, flashes explosive run, quick FB capable of being an out pitch.
CB: 70-71 mph. Smaller CB, showed feel for starting in the zone and breaking off plate, slider type look with two plane action, fairly quick change of direction.
CH: 75-77 mph. Maintains arm speed, worked knee height over the plate, similar movement pattern to FB, looks to be an effective offering for him.
