Uncommitted. Saw at Boras Classic. Young, small, athletic frame with a big presence on the mound. Upside is his strong body will develop and fill in with maturity. Pitches with a ton of confidence and competitive spirit. Pitching uptempo: catchers and infielder should love playing with him, and hitters will ask for time from the umpire. Fastball regularly 81-82 mph, touching 83 on several occasions, settled in around 78-80 mph. Breaking ball at 64-66 mph with change-up at 70 mph. Repeatedly forced weak contact by not throwing the same pitch twice. Gets ahead early and works the inches off the plate until needs to force contact. Stuff plays up due to feel, movement, quick pace on the mound and the presence he gives off.
