BAWS 2019 - XL frame with length in the limbs and a high waist; some physicality to frame with space for growth. Tall, wide stance keeping strong posture with high hands and a high back elbow; slight rock into back hip with front foot having slight lift going right back to the same spot. Shows good barrel turn swinging with compact upwards path allowing head of barrel to make contact on it’s way up through contact; drove ball to the pullside showing carry with some future pop available (84 EV). During games showed hard contact to all parts of the field with 1B & 2B to RF before staying on a pitch away and driving a 2B down the LF line (4.82-4.87T). Showed fair range at 1st with some movement skills being able to grab balls in his range; the glove is soft able to pick balls out of the dirt. Compact wider arm keeps balls on the bag (74 MPH). On the mound went two strong innings with a FB/CB combo. Tall and fall style delivery from stretch only look. Slight pause as his arm gets out of the glove to a compact H-3/4 release with gloveside pointing at the catcher; average front knee with ability to keep improving landing strength. Slight head whack as arm comes through with tendency to land on his heel, especially with the breaking ball.  Attacked the zone and picked up 4 K’s in 2 quick innings of work. FB 76-77 with some arm side tail; stayed that way. CB 61-62 true 12/6 shape very long with early loop; depth freezes hitters and flashed some ability to have more bite to the pitch. Chance for him to continue to improve with a little more flexibility and strength in frame as he matures.
