5/25/20

Hit: RHH, Strong, powerful, athletic frame. Wider than shoulder width stance to create a power position, the bat starts horizontal and becomes vertical and attacks the baseball with a coiling stride action. Demonstrates excellent backside acceleration and top hand release following contact. Bat stays on plane a long time and creates hard contact with good backspin.
Exit Velocity: 91, produces good power due to the use of the lower half in the swing which produces powerful loft and carry.
Defense: Aggressive approach, adjusts to hops of ball and displays an accurate arm. Fields through the ball and generates positive momentum towards the target.
Arm Velocity: 84, An increase in arm speed will improve the velocity of his outfield throws.

Anderson has an strong build at 5-foot-9, 195 pounds, while being a right-handed hitting outfielder in the  2021 class. He ran a 7.37 60. During batting practice, upright stance, quiet load with some rhythm to his hands, in line and short stride, remains balanced throughout swing, showed contact to all fields during round. Defensively in the outfield, attacks the baseball, momentum towards target, fluid footwork, long arm with a high three-quarter release, positional velo of 86 mph, mostly accurate throws.

12-1-18
A 5-10, 195-pound multi-positional player who impresses each time we see him.  The work gamer comes to mind for this player who ran a 4.12 home to first time. Slow load at the plate and a strong drive through the zone by his lower half. Swing is uphill with good pull power. Stays in control of the swing with an 88 MPH exit velocity. Fundamentally solid in the field. Glove and hands work well together. Arm is high ¾ and accurate and plays at 74 mph.

8-4-18
5-foot-9,195-pound right hand hitting 3B/RHP who ran a 7.25 60. Explosive swing at the plate with a big leg kick and slow load to the back side.  Weight and hands fire through the zone and create an 85 mph exit velocity.  In the field he is solid and makes the routine play every time.  Moves well to his back hand and delivers an accurate 79 mph ball across the diamond.  On the mound his motion is repeatable.  Arm is a high ¾ slot and arm speed stays consistent on all pitches.  Fastball was 77-79 mph with late run and he mixed in a 67-69 mph curve with tight spin and 11/5 break.

6-12-18
5-foot-9, 190-pound right hand hitting 3B/RHP who ran a 7.20 60. Balanced at the plate with a slow load on the pitch.  Hips and hands fire through the zone on the swing.  Good bat whip and extension out front produce an 84 mph exit velocity.  Showed good bat control and gap to gap power.  In the field he plays instinctual at third base and anticipates well. Arm is accurate across the diamond and plays at 75 mph.  Simple motion on the mound, sinks and drives hard to the plate from balance.  Lands slightly open and falls off after the pitch.  Arm speed stays up on all pitches, fastball was 79 mph with run.  He added a 68-70 mph curve with tight spin and 11/5 break.  He finished with a 70-71 mph change at near fastball arm speed.

1-28-18
5-foot-8, 190-pound 3B/RHP. 5-foot-8, 190 pounds. Bats and throws right. When he grows and thins out could be a stud. Strong player. Bottom hand dominate at plate, and ball jumps off bat. Everything he is pretty effortless and easy. 87 mph exit velocity. Centered everything during live round. Liked his feet for size at 3B. Moved well. Strong enough arm that will get better at 72 mph. On the mound gets good extension towards plate, lands inline then falls off to 1B. Fastball lived 78-79. Good 3-pitch mix with 64-65 mph curveball and 67 mph change at fastball arm speed.

7-21-16
A 5-foot-7, 165-pound right hand hitting catcher and RHP who ran a 7.52 60.  At the plate he is balanced with a slow load back on the pitch, he uses good extension out front to drive the ball in the gaps.  Behind the plate he throws well to second, hands will soften up as he develops.  On the mound he is over the top with a slight fall off to the first base side.  Fastball was 75 MPH.
