2023 third basemanTommy Marsh of Cherry Creek (Slammers) comes with a strong build. Marsh has demonstrated abilities at the plate and on the mound. He uses a balanced, lower half to create great rotational acceleration. He has quick hands stay inside ball with slight pull side tendencies. Top exit velocity of 100.4. Solid defensive skills as third with +hands and improving agility and foot work. 97 mph across the diamond. Shows potential on the mound where his fastball sits 86-87 with a slider at 78. Over the top delivery with some arm side run and the slider is an out pitch. Strong desire to develop.

Another strong showing for Marsh. Top ten player in Colorado's 2023 class that has two-way skills. He has quick, efficient hands and had a top exit velo of 99.3.  Marsh continues to develop at the plate and has great rotational acceleration. He had the top Blast Motion hard hit percentage at 80%.  

Strong body and strong lower half from the 2023 Cherry Creek product. Big side step to pivot foot. Swing leg lift to balance with no coil and high hands. Tall to fall (up/down front leg to stride) with extended arc on backside. Aggressive effort to delivery with a high 3⁄4 release and all momentum to the plate. Slight pull with head and he can improve glove side leverage. Fastball up to 83 with good arm side run. CB/SL sits 69-70 with 11/5 gradual break and good arm speed. Changeup 76-79 and the pitch has really improved with good rotation and change of speed. Two-way player with strong potential as a high ceiling right-hander.

Body: 6-foot-1, 190-pound
Run: 7.40
Hit: Starts with a wide stance and slightly open. Has coiling action on his stride foot back to linear. Good job of being explosive in the lower half. Much of his power is generated by his legs. High hands, with a little wrap to load. Does a good job of getting his hands back into the hitting zone. Good barrel control and good extension. Hands do a good job of staying inside the ball. Big strong kid with a good, balanced swing and he is an advanced hitter for his age. Definitely a player to follow the next three years. One of the better players in his class and produces exit velocities of 95 mph.
Power: Already has plus power, one of the best hitters in his class. Tremendous power in his game.
Arm: 84 mph across the diamond from a nice, whippy ¾ arm slot. Showed good ability to throw from a lower arm slot on the double play.
Defense: Marsh does a good job of getting around the ball. Has rhythmic feet and soft hands for big kid. Does a pretty good job of playing through the ball.

6-foot, 180-pounds with a wide base and big side step to pivot foot. Leg lift to balance and toes up with high hands. Tall to fall with long arc on backside. Aggressive effort to delivery with a high ¾ release. Head has slight tilt and pull to glove side. Average glove side leverage to rotation. Fastball sat 79-80 with some downward and arm side run. CB/SL sits 67-69 with 11/5 action and good rotation with gradual break. Changeup at 69-71 with minimal movement but a good change of speed. Marsh has a strong lower and upper body and as he refines mechanics, we can see great potential on mound as well as hitting.

Hit: Right-handed hitter with wide foundation and lean to back side. Sway load and minimal leg lift for stride. Hands are simple with little movement. Arm angles maintained and bat head in optimal position before launch. Tommy has direct and punishing path to ball. Rear side acceleration is great. Lower/upper body in sync. Hands stay inside ball with a middle of the field approach and pull sinde tendencies. Exit velocity of 93. Would consider Marsh a top follow in the class of 2023!
Power:  Yes. Marsh will demonstrate power now and believe his potential will continue as he progresses.
Arm: Infield velocity of 73 with long backside arc...loose and free with extension. Good feel at different arm angles.
Defense: 3B/1B. Ball gets deep, but hands work well. Creates momentum to throw with good footwork after fielding to throw. Athletic movements on the infield.
