3/19/21

6-foot, 190-pound, strong solid athletic frame, a durable catchers frame. A right-handed hitter, very balanced in the box, starts slightly open, hands are loose and relaxed at shoulder height. Simple pick up and put down with stride foot, gains ground with backside drive. The swing is level through the zone, hands are inside, barrel is in the zone a long time and creates extension out front. The hands really work freely through the zone, had an exit velocity of 93 mph and ran a 7.16. An offensive catcher, needs to be seen.

7/01/20

6-foot-1, 190-pound, strong, physical athletic frame. Already filling out, showing strength throughout. A right-handed hitting catcher, at the plate, the stance is spread out, even feet, relaxed hands at the shoulders. The swing is short to contact, level through the zone and finishes with two hands above the shoulders. The approach is gap to gap, has enough juice to beat the outfielders, had a exit velocity of 94 mph. The swing could have more length to it on the backside, needs to get through it a tick longer. Defensively is advanced, shows a big arm behind the plate, clocked at 81 mph, all throws were on the bag, recorded a 1.90-2.06. The feet and hands work together in the transfer, gaining ground. The hands are strong on the catch, sitting low to the ground, moving to both sides, anticipates the block and gets to his feet quickly. One of the better catcher sin the class of 2022, look for him to be off the board at some point.
