6-foot, 185-pound, strong, athletic frame, wider back, squared off shoulders, will be physical at some point. A right-handed hitting catcher, wider setup, slightly open, gets back to even with stride foot, higher loose hands in setup. The swing is level, has bat speed through the zone. looks to keep the hands inside the baseball, barrel is on the zone, has a middle to opposite field approach. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 83 mph and runs really well for a catcher at 7.16. Defensively, does a solid job behind the plate, setup is wide, balanced, works low to the ground. The hands are soft and strong on the catch, secures the pitch with ease. Pop time of 2.03-2.09, with arm clocked at 74 mph, works from a higher slot. The feet are quick, moves well back there, block and scramble performed correct.  Will be a solid pickup for someone.

6-foot, 180-pound right-handed hitting catcher and outfielder. Ran a 7.08 sixty on the laser at the event. The receiving is solid behind the dish, securing the catch is improving. Pop time of 2.06 and he threw 73 mph down to second base. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 85 mph. The setup is wide in base, bounce in posture as swing is initiated. The bat path is uphill, and the hands have plus life to them. Showed the ability to have potential with the bat.

6-foot, 180-pound, strong, athletic frame, put together, a well proportioned lean lengthy athlete. A right-handed hitting catcher, continues to improve has above average  arm strength from behind the dish. The footwork and quickness of the feet in transfer are good, no wasted movement. Looks to gain ground and gets inline with target. The arm was clocked at 75 mph, with carry and got through second base with ease. The pop time was recorded at 2.06-2.10. The hands continue to be strong on the catch, holds the strike well. Offensively, hits from a wider, even base. The hands are loose, used more of a no stride approach, swing is level to up finishing high with one hand, swing creates loft to the baseball. The approach was from gap to gap, runs extremely well for a catcher, with a 7.34 sixty-yard dash. Overall athletic ability and tools are a plus, continued game experience is needed, solid follow.

6-foot, 180-pound, strong athletic frame, shows to have quickness and some fast twitch throughout. A right-handed hitting catcher, at the plate feet are even and wider than shoulder width, hands held higher, back elbow slightly extended out. The lower half is under control, small pick up and put down with stride foot. The swing is flat through the zone, could keep the hands inside the baseball a tick longer, finishes with two-hands. The approach is more line drive up the middle and to the pull side. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 79 mph and ran 4.56 down the line, moves well. Defensively, the footwork is quick and advanced behind the plate. The right foot replaces the left in the transfer, gloves shoots right across the face. The arm was clocked at 73 mph, arm works out of a higher ¾ slot. Pop time of 2.0-2.08, throws were on or close to the bag. Received well in game play, gets around and behind the baseball, anticipates the dirt ball. Solid follow, footwork is very quick.

7/26/17

6-foot, 180-pound, strong, wide, well proportioned athlete. The hands, wrists and legs have good strength to them. The top tool is his ability to throw the baseball from behind the plate. The feet and hands work very well together, transfer is quick, the arm works out of a higher slot, clocked at 71 mph, throws are downhill with carry and flight to them. Pop times were at 2.15-2.18. The setup is wide when receiving, feet are quick on the block and recovery. At the plate hits from the right side, stance is even and wider than shoulder width. The hands are held at shoulder height, wrists are locked in, bat has tilt to it. The swing is down to level to up, barrel stays in the zone a long time. The approach is more line drive from gap to gap. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph, runs ok for a catcher, clocked at 4.75 from home to first. Good follow, is athletic, with good ability.

5-foot-11, 178-pound, strong, average frame. The neck is long, shoulders are rounded off, has plenty of room to fill out. A right-handed hitting catcher, the stance is wider than shoulder width, feet are even, slightly sits down with more weight on the backside. The hands are strong, set above the back shoulder, bat starts in a flat position. For timing uses a minimal stride, lower half is under control. The swing is level to up, flat through the zone and finishes with two hands. The body wants to lean back on finish, could stay through it longer. The approach was more to the pull side, has good power for his age. The tee exit velocity was at 79 mph, runs well for a young catcher, ran a 7.41 sixty-yard dash. Defensively is simple behind the plate, advanced for his age. Pop times of 2.03-2.12 and arm was clocked at 71 mph. The arm action is clean, throws from his ear, arm works out of a natural ¾ slot. The hands work when receiving, could soften just a bit. The feet are quick, get inline on throws, gains ground in transfer. Solid young catcher, more to come on this one.

5-foot-11, 178-pound, strong athletic frame for his age. The frame is wide, shoulders are sloped, neck is long, will be extremely physical at some point. The catching, receiving and blocking skills are advanced for his age. The hands are strong when receiving the baseball, glove doesn't move, keeps the ball in the strike zone. The feet and hands work well together in the transfer, feet are quick, gets inline properly to second on throws. Pop times of 2.06-2.15 and the arm was clocked at 70 mph from the chute. The arm action has some crank like action to it, has a small hesitation on the back, otherwise it has above average strength for his age. Worked extremely hard in the bullpen session. Offensively, hits from the right side, the stance is wide and even based. The lower half is under control, for timing has a very small stride. The hands start above his back shoulder, the swing path is down to up. The approach is more to the pull side, cuts across it at times. The finish is with two hands, shows to have above average pop for his age. Good looking young catcher, get out and see him over the next year.
