7/01/20

5-foot-10, 160-pound, average athletic frame, squared off shoulders, wider back, showing strength throughout. A right-handed pitcher, throws a three pitch mix. The delivery is sound and simple, athletic lift, with coil, getting loaded on the backside. The direction is inline, with minimal pull to front side. The arm action is longer, clean on the backside, working out of a 3/4 slot. The fastball touched 87 mph, located to both sides of the plate, showing arm side bore action. The breaking ball was poured in with velocity, clocked at 80 mph, hard hammer piece. Throws a turn me over changeup, with feel and arm side action, at 74 mph. Pitch-ability is very high look for him to be a guy at the college level.

2/29/20

5-foot-9, 155-pound, wiry strong athletic frame. Showing good strength for his size, has room for added weight gains. A right-handed pitcher, simple repeatable delivery, hands start and stay at the mid chester, leg lift is smooth and athletic, getting to a good gather, staying over the backside. The arm action is free and easy, working from a natural 3/4 slot, arm is away from frame and heading creating a clean whippy arm action. The direction is inline, minimal to pull to front side, getting out front on release.   The fastball was pounded to both side of the plate, 2-seamer showing late action and movement. Clocked at 84 mph, with more in there gets on the hitter quick. Threw two above average secondary pitches, curveball at 67-69 mph, tilt with proper shape, spin is tight, later break to it. The changeup was clocked at 74-77 mph, with fade and arm side run. Quality arm, look for more in the fastball, mechanics are so clean, pitch-ability will be at high level. Big follow.

6/19/19

5-foot-9, 145-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball sat 78-79 mph, straight in shape. The spin pitch is 64-65 mph, and the shape is big. The pitch needs added fastball hand speed to it. The changeup is 69-72 mph, minimal fade to it. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is above 3/4. The lift is methodical and repeated. The front shoulder needs to stay online until foot strike, comes offline a bit too quickly. Adding strength to the frame will aid the development on the mound as well.
